Enjoying 3D environment on computers since I bought Elsa Erazor/Revelator kit in 1999. Digital photography became a hobby only few years later, far before trying stereophoto...
hehe, at this period I wasn't very carefull with Z position of my closest objects when adjusting the stereo effect. And this shot was performed with Fujifilm W3 without macro option at around 1m, so... pay attention to your eyes ;-)
Humm... as far as I remember I moved apart 15-20cm for this chacha shot! ... with a Nikon D200+AF-S Nikkor 70-300 (VR) zoom at minimum focus distance (i.e. 150cm). The picture here was cropped and represents 25% max of original size. I believe I wasn't as close as you expected! Thank you Cezar for you interest & appreciation!
I tried myself too to keep all focused because it's more natural to "choose" by the eye what it must be kept in focus. Macro shots are always difficult to do !
I realize the bright leaf of the bottom side (at least) attracts the eyes, and the unfocused effect may create a frustrating unability to appreciate it. I should have used a tripod the access higher DOF. This cha-cha shot was performed in a low morning light at f/2.5 (@75mm equiv-35mm, 0.8s). Thank you Agostino for you interesting comment, this really helps!
Yes Alex, these in the blue area were moving towards right side and those in the yellow area moved away and towards right side. I wish I had taken long exposure cha cha pictures from this view so that sea would have not been an issue. 30" elapsed between these 2 photos.
