Thank you Ted for your hint. Yes, it's a W3, of course. Good idea, but the W3 can show a very striking red warning on the display, when one lens is partly covered by a finger I notice that, before shooting, at once. Unlike my wife who actually took photos in vertical position. Unfortunately, I could not accompany my wife to Mexico. And I acquired the W3 just 3 days before her departure. No time for in-depth instructions...
But one questions to your flight photos: I was private pilot for 20 years and never found the windows without scratches and they always were dirty and the color green and full of reflections, so I gave it up shooting photos. You don't never have any problems?
Are you shooting with a Fuji W3? If so, it is very easy to accidentally get your finger in front of one of the lenses. I suggest getting a grip like this to hold the camera. https://www.amazon.com/RetiCAM®-Hand-Grip-Heavy-Duty-Smartphones/dp/B00RVA39IM/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1485363623&sr=8-13&keywords=camera+hand+grip
@PhilESieve, sorry for my late answer. No it isn't a conversion tool (in this case). I use "Gimp" as Photo editor, cut the 2D Photo in many layers (sometimes more that 30) and fill the layers with shades of grey. The nearest point in the foreground must be white and the fürthest point black (often the sky). All points in between have grey scales. in the end I join all layers to only one, remove all transperences and use a tool that makes a stereoscopic image out of the native image and the so called "depthmap" (the grey-scale) . Sometimes I'm using also Gimp ,other times the program "3DCombine". You can do it in Photoshop (but not elements), too.
THOSE BLACK CIRCLES ON THE SIDES ARE DUE TO THE WIDE ANGLE LENS AND CAMERA I WAS USING AT THE TIME. I CAN'T REMEMBER WHAT THEY WERE BECAUSE THAT PHOTO IS MORE THAN 30 YEARS OLD! AND, THANK FOR YOUR FEEDBACK AND INTEREST IN SOME OF MY "MASTERPIECES". AND I FORGET...WHAT CITY DO YOU LIVE IN AGAIN?
YES....I'VE HEARD OF THE FAMOUS "TREATY OF WESPHALIA"......THERE WAS PEACE IN EUROPE FOR OVER 100 YEARS..... AFTER THAT TREATY UNTIL...WHEN?......NAPOLEON....???
Ja, der Zeitaufwand dafür war beträchtlich. Bestimmt mehrere Tage, auch weil ich die Arbeit zweimal neu beginnen musste, wegen gemachter Fehler. Ist einer meiner besten Konvertierungen.
Hello John!
No, it isn't a good idea. The reason: I 've given up making conversions. They are too time-consuming and with uncertain results. Sometimes, I had to throw away a work of several days. I just would do it, if my son or may daughter asked me doing it. But if you have a really good image which it's worth for, send it to me.
Bye Bernd
