Thanks, Randy. I shot this last year with the NX rig, but it's simply too large for the NX rig to handle the way I was envisioning. So I went back two days ago with the 16mm lens on my Nikon. Yes there's the typical wide angle distortion - but I'm OK with that.
Thanks, Randy. Hmm - it looks OK to me. But last week I noticed another one of my images was swapped - and I never make parallel images. A couple of days later it was OK again. Must be sunspots or El Nino, or whatever.
Thanks, Duncan and Timo. As is usually the case, I did not have a clear idea of what I wanted when I started. I wandered outside of my comfort zone in PS, and I liked this as soon as I saw it. It is worth the effort just to dabble around in post production. And then there's fractals, which are basically 100% dabbling around!
Thanks, Timo! I have been sooo lazy of late in regard to photography work. But I have spent loads of time creating more fractal stereos - 70 so far on my Flicker account. There's only so much one can do!
Thanks Duncan, and Timo. This was done with my Nikon full-frame camera with a Tokina 16-28mm, f2.8 zoom lens attached. I actually like the perspective distortion in 2D shots when capturing churches or large homes, and general landscape shots. The large dome-shaped front element of the lens does make it more prone to lens flare, but nothing's perfect. I'll have a couple more stereos to post in a day or two.
