Randy - yes, I know! I like the angle as it is, but I should have zoomed out more. I kind of kicked myself when I got home and saw it. Next time, right?
Yes, this is from the G7X rig. First time out - I don't go out in rainy weather, or if it's over 90. I'm a senior, so I can make these declarations! I didn't do any shots of the rig yet....I don't want to post numerous boring shots. Maybe I can do a collage of some kind.
Nice rig Tom! How much does it weight? are you able to not hold it with your hands, just attached around your neck? cause I know my rig is way smaller and my arms are getting tired holding it after awhile

>>Radomir: I just looked up Magic Lantern - it is only available for DSLR's that I could see. The G7X is considered a point-and-shoot.
>>All: I retract my earlier description about the ceiling fan being on. Clearly it wasn't - there would have been some motion blur shooting indoors. My bad. Yesterday was the first day in months that it was not on.
Randy and Timo...yes it is a hefty rig. The G7X's are heavier than the S100's as well. I had posted stereos of the rig when it was configured for landscape, it's the same except for the position of the cameras. I'll take some closeup shots soon, so you can see what's what.
Thanks, Radomir....SDM exists for some firmware versions, but not mine - I just checked it. I had the same issue with CHDK, but they had a test version, and then an updated version a short while later. I can wait, and in the meantime, the rig works.
Thanks, Ted. I kind of rotate doing stereo photos, fractals, and CGI. When the weather is such that I don't want to go out with my gear, I have the other two. YES, the gull is a simple 2D image that I inserted. But I reduced the contrast to make it better match the background; and raised the white level to make it appear the sun was shining thru its feathers.
