Robert, that's a turret style viewfinder that I only use on bright sunny days - when it's near impossible to see the LCD screen. See the photo description for more.
Randy, I have very little flash experience so far. I gotta just start doing more. I do have 2 receivers, but I never used both at the same time. I also have a "hot shoe splitter" that attaches to the camera's hot shoe, and provides 2 more hot shoes. To that I would attach my smaller Sunpak flash, and the transmitter - providing both on and off camera flash capability simultaneously. I have verified that it works fine. but didn't do any real shooting yet. Not sure about your question as to whether the cameras are wired together - yes they are, that's how the rig works. But that has nothing to do with flash that I know of. I posted a photo to the Samsung 3D forum......that shows how good the cameras sync up using flash, just by themselves. Do you have an NX rig? I should know but I don't.
Thanks, Randy. The bottom piece on the right is a simple hot shoe adapter...all it really does is raise the hot shoe up. My Sunpak flash would hit the Werner mount, and prevent it from going fully forward. Rather than file down the mount, I added the adapter. On top of the adapter is my FlashQ wireless flash transmitter. I actually don't need to use the adapter in order to use the FlashQ, as the FlashQ doesn't hit the Werner mount. I just took the camera as it was, instead of stripping it down.
Thanks StereoDoro, I had no idea where to start. I looked it up and yes, looks like they're swallows. Exactly which type, I still don't know. But it's funny, one of the pictures I saw had a stucco ceiling, just like in my photo. I wouldn't recognize a baby swallow, cause I'm not sure I've ever seen any swallows.
Thanks, Duncan! Oh yes, that is rivalry - I should have cropped it closer I guess. I took 4 shots and picked the 2 that gave the best effect. That's how the rivalry gets in there. If I had my NX rig with me instead, it might have been better.
Beautiful. I'm getting a little rivalry in the top branches and don't know if it's just because a breeze moved them, nonetheless it's a spectacular look.
Timo, I walk every single day, and rarely see sun rays like this. Got lucky - I brought along a camera today. This image would have been much better if I was on a different street. This street dead-ends where the pile of mulch is. A pile of mulch is not necessarily a good subject, even if it is in the background. But, the rays were there, and I needed to capture it...as I didn't see any more rays after that.
I've always wanted to make a shot like this, and even tried, but never with such success. This image clearly demonstrates why stereo is superior to flat.
The big reasons I got the S100 were: the function ring around the lens allows for precise zooming; it saves RAW files; and they're affordable, used on eBay.
